The Islamic University of Madinah will be holding symposiums in Islamic Studies and the Arabic Language for the Muslims in North America in conjunction with al-Qur'an was-Sunnah Society of North America in the city of Detroit MI. The program begins on Wednesday, July 1, 1998 extending until Tuesday, July 14, 1998.
The following subjects are to be taught by four shaykhs: Tafseer, Tawheed, Hadeeth, The Science of Hadeeth, Seerah, Islamic Tarbiyah, and the Arabic Language.
Those who wish to participate in the program should fill out and mail or fax the application form to al-Qur'an was-Sunnah Society at the address above. Applicants will be processed on a first come, first serve basis, and space is limited, so do not delay. An Arabic application form for the Arabic classes is also available.
Classes will be held daily from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., except for Fridays. Modest meals will be served free of charge to the students.
Single male students can lodge on site free of charge. Those who wish to stay at a Hotel/Motel may do so at their own expense. The following are some numbers of Hotels/Motels in the area:
Detroit is served by the Detroit Metro Airport (about 30 min, drive), as well as the Detroit City Airport (about two miles distance). Shuttles from Detroit Metro can be arranged for about $20.00 by calling Commuter Travel (800) 488-7433 at least one day prior to arrival.
