On
Friday the 27th of Rajab,
1423 A.H. a phone call was
made to al'Allamah Shaikh
Abdul-Muhsin al-'Abbaad
in regards to recent statements
made about the QSS Canada
4th Islamic Seminar to take
place 10/12/2002 thru 10/13/2002,
and other issues that are
related to the concerns
of the salafee dawah today.
Al-Hamdulillah our Shaikh
was available to answer
all questions that were
asked regarding these matters.
The following is a written
translated dialogue from
the phone call:
Abdul-Monem:
Shaikh Abdul-Muhsin al-'Abbad?
Shaikh
Abdul-Muhsin:
Na'am, (yes).
Abdul-Monem:
Hayyakumullah (May Allah
Greet You), Yaa Shaikhana.
This is your brother Abdul-Monem
Burkhes...the chairman of
QSS...yaa Shaikhana.
Shaikh
Abdul-Muhsin: Hayyakumullah.
Abdul-Monem:
I have some questions, Insha-Allah.
First, We have, insha-Allah,
by the permission of Allah
a convention titled: "And
We Have Not Sent You Except
as a Mercy for the Creation"
in Canada. Insha-Allah,
some Mashayakh (Scholars)
will participate in it from
Jordan. Shaikh al-Halabi
& al-Hilaali and Shaikh
Naser, and also Shaikh al-Qoosi
from Egypt. And we want,
insha-Allah, that you be
generous to us by some participation
from you through telelink,
insha-Allah. It will be
for example the next Saturday,
I don't mean tomorrow, next
Saturday or Sunday for example,
intayassar (if it is facilitated).

Abdul-Muhsin: I don't
think it will be feasible
for me...
Abdul-Monem:
Na'am.
Shaikh
Abdul-Muhsin: I say...I
don't think it'll be feasible
for me.
Abdul-Monem:
Na'am. Ok, insha-Allah,
Laabas (No Harm) yaa Shaikh,
may Allah reward you with
good.
Abdul-Monem:
Ok, Our Shaikh, in reality,
A problem happened to us
in this past period, and
that is that Shaikh Rabee
(hafidthahullah) warns against
al-Jamaeeyah (the Society)
and warns against attending
this convention in specific...ya'ani,
this convention I told you
about.

Abdul-Muhsin: Na'am...
Abdul-Monem:
Of Course, his reason, you
remember that when we came
for the seminar that we
held in the Kingdom, "Abu
Bakr as-Sideeq (may Allah
be pleased with him) Seminar".

Abdul-Muhsin: Na'am.
Abdul-Monem:
And on the way back, the
Shaikh new that Brother
Zahid and I will visit the
Mashaayakh in Jordan and
he requested that we don't
visit them. And we contacted
you though some of our brothers,
and we asked you, and
you said that, "we
should pay no attention
to his statement, and that
we should go and benefit
from them".
Of
course, he was angry with
us because of this position.
Also, he says that the Jordanian
Mashayakh (scholars from
Jordan), supported the Mubtadi'ah(innovators),
and they didn't take a good
"salafee stance",
he means their position
from Abul hassan al-Ma'ribi.
The conclusion is that:
Now there is a general warning
from attending this convention
(the QSS Canada 4th Islamic
Seminar) and from me personally,
and from the society (QSS)
and from attending the activities
of the society. And this
thing (the warning) was
translated into english
and was spread in a tremendous
way on the sites, on the
internet websites, and to
the people. So now we are
in a situation ya'ani from
this aspect... I don't know
what you can offer us, the
brothers in the U.S. &
Canada, as direction &
advice regarding this issue.
Do they attend, or do they
boycott? and what do you
advise as a general advice?

Not, the Convention is to
be Held!

Na'am.

attends, attends. Whoever
misses, misses.
Abdul-Monem:

say...That the Convention
is to be held!, Whoever
attends, will attend...Whoever

say...the ones who come,
in them there is Kifayyah
(Sufficiency).
Abdul-Monem:

Abdul-Muhsin: I
say (again)...the one who
comes, in him there is Kifayyah
(Sufficiency).
Abdul-Monem:
Na'am...Fahimt (I understood)...yaa

Abdul-Monem:
Of course, they say now
that the Shaikh, I mean
Shaikh Rabee (hafidthahullah),
is from the Major Scholars
and he is the "Flag
Bearer of Jarh wa Ta'deel
(Criticising & Praising)".
And because he talked
against us and about the
brothers...the Mashayakh
from Jordan, and al-Jamaeeyah
(QSS), then his statement
must be obeyed. And if he
is not obeyed, then this
proves that those who did
not listen to his statement,
that they are leaving out
from following the speech
of Kibaar Ahlil-Ilm (the
Major People of Knowledge),
and that they follow the
speech of as-Sighar (the
smaller ones of knowledge)...and
what is like that. That
is what is [used] to make
this matter obscure...

Abdul-Muhsin: Not
at All...No...!!!
Abdul-Monem:
...for the non-Arabs.
Shaikh
Abdul-Muhsin: Do
Not be Concerned with all
of these matters. Whoever
attends, will attend...and
whoever misses, will miss.
Abdul-Monem:
Na'am.

Abdul-Muhsin: I
say (again)...those who
attend, in them there is
sufficiency.

Na'am yaa Shaikhana, Jazak
Allahu Khairan (may Allah
reward you with good)...

Tayyib. As regards to
the Noble Shaikh Falih al-Harbee
(hafidthahullah)...

... he also, has a warning
issued from him against
the Mashayakh [of Jordan],
and also against Shaikh
al-Qoosi, hafidthahullah.
So (we ask), is Shaikh
Falih al-Harbee from the
Kibarul Ulema (Major Scholars)
in the Kingdom whose statement
should be reffered to...

...in al-Jarh wat-Ta'deel?

Say: Laysa min ha'ula'!

He is not of the Kibarul
Ulema in the Kingdom, whom
their statements in al-Jahr
wat-Ta'deel should be referred
to?

NOT. I say, huwa min sighaar
talabatil- ilm! (He is from
the smaller students of
knowledge!)
Abdul-Monem:
Tayyib, may Allah reward
you with good, yaa Shaikhana...Tayyib.
If
you permit, yaa Shaikhana,
if you could give a summarized
speech, since we can not...We
will not be honored by a
lecture over the phone (during
our convention). If you
make a concise speech, a
general advice to the Muslim
brothers here in America...in
a way...a concise speech
that we translate to them
in english. A general advice
from you...specifically
for this occasion, whatever
you see fit to be published
in arabic. And it will be
published in english, it
will be translated for them
(those in America).

lot of confusion has happened,
and we, al-Hamdulillah,
to date we did not refute
any of this. And everytime
people call us we say: "Be
patient & seek the reward
from Allah and leave this
matter and don't discuss
it". And do not get
involved into bickering
and debates with the people.
We did not defend (ourselves)
at all. We just kept quiet,
and that was it.
So now we would like a speech
and a concise advice from
(you)...2 or 3 minutes for
the Muslims in general...
